Kim Curran brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community service to her role as the new Director of Operations for Dulles South Soup Kitchen. With a background in nonprofit management and a deep commitment to addressing food insecurity, Kim is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and recognizes that Dulles South Soup Kitchen is a beacon of hope for individuals and families in need. 

Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling. She has two sons and two dogs and enjoys exploring the historic sites of northern Virginia.

As Director of Operations, Kim Curran is poised to lead Dulles South Soup Kitchen into a new era of service and community impact, embodying the organization's commitment to providing nourishment, compassion, and dignity to all.



 Saira Gavidia is the full-time main cook, who offers her experience as a chef to the project. Saira Gavidia arrived in the U.S.A. in 2015 from Mexico. Her first job was at Wendy's as a chef for three years. Then, she began working in a private Arabic school, making salads, serving, and cleaning the kitchen. Her diligence, focus, and perseverance allowed her to become the Kitchen Assistant. She prepared various types of meat and diverse foods for over 600 people.


After four years, she gained enough expertise to run an entire kitchen, from planning to execution, and stepped into her new role as the head chef at DSSK.


Outside of work, Saira is the loving mother of one son.
